HELLOOOO!!!

What an AMAZING way to end the season!!! While we did end up second in B division at Champs, we scored 517 points, which is the most points Queensmill has scored at Champs since 2017!!! I am so proud on the team spirit, energy, and enthusiasm brought by our swimmers and coaches!! 

Let's shout out some record breakers:

  • Benjamin Talley broke the LEAGUE WIDE record in the 13-14 boys 100 yard freestyle swimming a 51.92!!!
  • Sawyer Michalski, Carson Ellenberger, Sarah Knize, and Sydney Curtis broke the Queensmill record in the yard 15-18 mixed medley relay going a 1:49.51, completely destroying the previous record set in 2018 by Sarah Aud, Eva Johnson, Cody Carnes, and Fletcher Marshall!
  • Aidan Vaughan, Sarah Knize, Sydney Curtis, and Carson Ellenberger broke the Queensmill record in the yard 15-18 mixed freestyle relay, swimming a 1:42.54, beating out last year's freestyle relay by half a second!
  • Lillian Talley broke the Queensmill record in the girls 9-10 100Y IM going a 1:19.10, breaking Kylie Bonser's record from 2015!
  • Catherine Talley broke the Queensmill record in the 11-12 Girls 100Y IM going a 1:10.82 breaking a 16 year old record set in 2010!
  • Benjamin Talley broke the Queensmill record in the 13-14 boys 100Y IM going a 58.34 breaking Fletcher Marshall's record from 2016!
  • Sawyer Michalski broke another one of Fletcher's records in the boys 15-18 50Y Backstroke going a 26.24 on the first leg of our record breaking medley relay!
  • Carson Ellenberger broke his own Queensmill record in the boys 15-18 50Y butterfly, swimming a 22.96, AND in the 50Y breaststroke swimming a 27.34 AND in the 100Y freestyle going a 48.76!
  • Sarah Knize broke Sydney Curtis' Queensmill Record in the girls 15-18 100Y freestyle going a 58.73!
  • Lillian Talley also broke her own Queensmill record in the girls 10&under 100Y freestyle going a 1:08.35!
  • Catherine Talley also broke her own Queensmill record in the girls 11-12 100Y freestyle going a 1:00.95!
In addition to all these CRAZY fast swims we had 42 top 5 all time Queensmill swims. Congratulations Quackers!!!

Thank you so much to all of you who woke up crazy early to bring your swimmers, fight for parking, sweat it out volunteering or in the stands, and fight through traffic. It really takes a village and I can't thank you enough for the success we had the last two days!
