Patterson Summers Head Coach

Patterson fell in love with swimming from the first time he got in the pool. He has been swimming since he was 5 years old, having his start in summer swim. He joined the Quackers in 2012 before moving to year-round swimming with the YMCA in 2012 and then NOVA in 2018. Next, Patterson joined SwimRVA as a swimmer in the Fall of 2019, and started volunteering with SwimRVA’s Novice group in December of 2020. From there he became a member of their coaching staff in March of 2021 and worked with SwimRVA’s Novice, Advance Novice, and Age Group.

Patterson’s favorite stroke is breaststroke. Through the years, swimming has become more than just a hobby, it is a passion. What Patterson loves most about swimming is how it brings swimmers of all different backgrounds and cultures together through our love of swimming. He was an Assistant Coach for the Quackers in 2023 and first began as Head Coach in 2024. Some accomplishments the team had in his two years as Head Coach include: scoring 493.5 points at Champs, which is the highest number of points Queensmill has scored since 2017, having 1655 individual time drops over the course of the two seasons, and establishing a Queensmill Record book! As a lifelong Quacker, he is very excited to be coming back as Head Coach for his 3rd year!

Ainsley Clarke Assistant Coach

Ainsley first joined the Queensmill swim team at the age of 4 and could be found in the water, whether pool, lake or ocean, ever since. After rejoining the team 4 years ago, her love of coaching was born. She enjoys helping children learn to be comfortable and competent in the water. Ainsley’s favorite strokes are freestyle and butterfly. One thing she loves about the swim team is seeing the faces of friends and cheering them on in meets. No matter what the day is you will catch her with a smile on her face ready to help in any way. After being a Junior Coach on the team in 2024 and an Assistant Coach in 2025, Ainsley is proud to be one of the 2026 swim season Assistant Coaches.

Kristin Weber Assistant Coach

Kristin is thrilled to jump from the sidelines to the pool deck this season as our Assistant Swim Coach and ultimate team hype person! This team is incredibly close to her heart—her three daughters have been competing here for the past four years, and Kristin grew up swimming on a summer swim team herself, so she knows exactly how special this tradition is.

With over 15 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Kristin is a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) who specializes in high-energy group fitness and youth leadership. She has spent years directing large-scale youth initiatives, from redesigning middle school summer camps for the YMCA to managing programs for over 400 children. While her main mission this summer is to bring maximum team spirit and high-fives to every practice, her deep knowledge of body movement mechanics and athletic conditioning means she is always ready to support our swimmers' physical growth and confidence. She can’t wait to pump up the team and make this the most fun, high-energy summer yet!

Carson Ellenberger Assistant Coach

Carson joined the Queensmill swim team in 2016 and has been swimming with the team ever since. He enjoyed the sport enough to join the Midlothian YMCA team for a season before joining SwimRVA in 2020, where he has continued to swim. He was a part of the Clover Hill High School swim team for all four of his years there and is set to graduate from CHHS in 2026.

Carson enjoys swimming anything that is not backstroke, especially sprint butterfly. What Carson loves most about the sport of swimming is the excitement and competition that comes with racing, especially in relays. He is looking forward to sharing his love of the sport for his 3rd season at Queensmill!

Oakley Bradshaw Assistant Coach

Oakley has been swimming for the Queensmill Quackers ever since his family moved to the neighborhood when he was 3. From then on he was in the water almost every day over the summers, even going on to join his local YMCA Team, SwimRVA Team, and High School Team to have the chance to swim over the winter time. This year will be his final year of actually swimming for the Quackers and he is both super excited and a bit sad. Of course, he plans to continue on supporting the Quackers from the coaching position! His favorite stroke is backstroke and he really enjoys seeing the kids he’s taught grow and develop their skills as they put what they’ve learned to good use. He’s always happy to help and will always be willing to complete a job to the best of his ability. After being a Junior Coach for the 2024 & 2025 seasons, he is super excited to become an Assistant Coach for the 2026 season!
